How It Works

Keynou Clipboard is a collaborative, ephemeral text editor. Here's how it works.

1. Open the Editor

Click “Open Editor” anywhere on the site. A new session is created automatically with a unique URL. No login, no signup - just start typing.

2. Share the Link

Click the “Share” button in the editor toolbar to copy the session URL. Send it to anyone - via email, chat, or any channel. When they open the link, they join your session instantly.

3. Write Together

Both of you see the same text in real-time. Each person gets a unique color, and you can see each other's cursors with name labels. Set your name (optional) in the toolbar.

4. Nothing Is Stored

When you refresh the page or close the tab, everything is gone. No data is stored on our servers - text is relayed in real-time via Socket.io and exists only in the memory of connected browsers.

Same Network vs. Internet

If you're on the same local network (e.g., same office WiFi), the connection is direct and fast. If you're sharing a link with someone on the internet, the data is relayed through our server - but still not stored.

Privacy & Security

All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Anyone with your session link can join, so only share it with people you trust. We don't log content, track users, or store any data. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
